Allison resides in Reinholds, Pennsylvania with her parents, Carl and Beth Gress and her brother, Jonathan. She enjoys reading, attending dance class at Dance Fusion Studios, Sinking Spring, and competing in dance competitions. Allison also enjoys fashion and exploring the latest design and fashion trends. She is a member of the Cadette Girl Scout Troop 1020.
Allison was inspired with her platform, Book Drives for Better Lives: Putting Books in the Hands of Children, with a community service project she did with her Junior Girl Scout Troop in the fifth grade. She wants to collect gently used books and share them with underprivileged children in hopes to encourage them to become better readers and love reading as much as she enjoys it herself. She feels that her platform is impactful after learning that 3/4th of children who cannot read fluently by the end of fourth grade end up in jail or welfare and 70% of all America's inmates cannot read or write. She plans on promoting her platform by reading to children and partnering with school and community organizations to collect gently used books and share them with underserved children and schools in the greater Philadelphia area.
